Farizon SV Named Runner-Up for International Van of the Year 2026

The Farizon SV took second place in International Van of the Year 2026 and won Zero-Emission Van of the Year from What Van? in the UK

Farizon SV Named Runner-Up for International Van of the Year 2026

In the European commercial vehicle industry, the International Van of the Year (IVOTY) award is highly valued by business owners and fleet managers, as the jury consists of commercial vehicle journalists from 26 countries who test the vehicles in real-world use throughout the year. For the 2026 award, announced at Solutrans in Lyon, France, on 19 November 2025, Farizon SV known in many markets as the SuperVAN, was ranked runner-up, behind winner Kia PV5 and ahead of the Ford E-Transit Courier.

Competing with Europe's biggest brands

This year's finalists included the Volkswagen Transporter, Volkswagen Crafter and MAN TGE, as well as the Ford Transit Connect PHEV and Ford E-Transit — all long-established names in the European van market. That an electric commercial vehicle brand from the Geely group, relatively new to Europe, could take second place shows that Farizon's approach of designing electric vans from a dedicated platform has won expert recognition.

When the finalists were announced, the brand highlighted the SV's key strengths in several areas: drive-by-wire control, a side door design with a concealed B-pillar for a wide loading opening, a Cell-to-Pack battery, a maximum payload of around 1,465 kg, up to 13 cubic meters of cargo space and a load floor just 550 mm high — figures that logistics operators immediately recognize as saving time and effort when loading and unloading.

Zero-Emission Van of the Year award from What Van?

Beyond IVOTY, the Farizon SV also won the Zero-Emission Van of the Year at the UK's What Van? Awards 2026, held in London in early December 2025, with the Renault Master E-Tech and Nissan Interstar-e highly commended in the same category. According to regional importers, the judges focused mainly on energy efficiency, running costs and suitability for real-world business use.

It is also worth noting that the Farizon SV has passed Euro NCAP safety testing with a 5-star rating in its commercial van assessment program, confirming that although it is a working vehicle, its safety standards are no lower than those of passenger cars.

What these awards mean for buyers in Thailand

For Thai businesses, European awards are not just marketing decoration but third-party evidence that the vehicle has proven itself in a demanding environment in terms of safety, durability and cost per kilometer. Points to consider when choosing an electric van for your fleet include:

  • Independent safety test results, which affect insurance premiums and driver confidence
  • Payload and cargo volume compared with your existing diesel vehicles
  • Ease of loading and unloading, which affects how many drops can be made per day
  • Long-term energy and maintenance costs
