Geely Auto Posts Record First-Half 2026 Revenue
Geely Automobile reported first-half 2026 revenue of 173.6 billion yuan, up 15%, with exports up 158% — reflecting the brand's strength in global markets, including Thailand

For those deciding on an EV, the stability of the parent company is a factor not to overlook, as it reflects the long-term continuity of product development, parts and after-sales service. Most recently, Geely Automobile Holdings the Hong Kong-listed company that owns the Geely brand, reported first-half 2026 results showing high-quality growth.
Key figures for the first half of 2026
- Total revenue 173.6 billion yuan up 15% year on year — the first time half-year revenue has exceeded 170 billion yuan
- Net profit attributable to shareholders of 9.09 billion yuan, down slightly by 1.8%
- Core profit (excluding exchange rate effects and impairments) of 9.68 billion yuan, up 46%
- Gross margin rose to 17.9%
- Total sales of around 1.42 million units, flat year on year
Overseas markets are the growth engine
The most striking point is exports, which grew 158% to around 474,000 units in the first six months. While the Chinese domestic market faces fierce price competition, Geely has chosen to expand aggressively into new markets including Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia — with Thailand among its key markets and a right-hand-drive market where Geely launched the EX5 and EX2 ahead of many other countries.
Another factor was the premium brand Zeekr, whose sales rose 97% to 178,000 units, lifting the group's average revenue per vehicle
Geely Group's long-term goals
Geely Automobile has set a 2026 sales target of 3.45 million units, while parent company Geely Holding Group, whose combined sales across all brands reached around 4.12 million units in 2025, has announced a strategy to 2030 targeting 6.5 million units a year, around 75% of them new energy vehicles. This target would bring Geely close to the world's top five automakers.
What it means for Geely drivers in Thailand
Strong results and a focus on overseas markets mean continued investment in sales and service networks. In Thailand, the official distributor plans to expand to 65 showrooms and service centers by 2026, including opening its first flagship showroom on Srinakarin Road. All of this helps build owners' confidence in after-sales support.
